The Flagship Newspaper, Military Newspapers of Virginia along with our presenting sponsor, USAA, are excited to announce the 2017 Heroes at Home Military Spouse Awards Program. New this year, the 2017 Heroes at Home program becomes a statewide program. The finalists from the Hampton Roads, Central Virginia and Northern Virginia regions will all be invited to luncheon reception with Governor and Mrs. McAuliffe at the Governor’s Mansion in Richmond, Virginia at a date to be determined.
Honor the “hardest working member of the military,” the military spouse, for their strength, many sacrifices and commitment to the Hampton Roads community. Any spouse of active duty U.S. military service members, Guard or Reserves living in the Hampton Roads, VA may be nominated. Nominations will be accepted from any individual or group, civilian and active duty personnel. Don’t feel limited to just one nomination; if you know more than one outstanding military spouse, you can nominate more than one person.
Visit www.heroesathomeva.com for details and to submit a nomination. The nomination deadline is March 26, 2017.
The Heroes at Home Hampton Roads Spouse Appreciation and Awards Luncheon will be held Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the Hilton Norfolk The Main at 100 East Main Street.
