A cold front will move into our area through the early afternoon, and it’ll bring a chance for scattered showers and storms for the 2nd half of our day.
So, your morning and midday plans will be rain-free, but muggy. Dew point temps (which indicate moisture in the air) are in the Mid-Upper 50s. This means it’s a bit muggy.
By 5PM, the rain coverage increases to 40-60%. You’re more likely to encounter rain for your afternoon plans; so, make sure you have the rain-gear and allow extra time to travel.
Rain remains likely thru dinner time tonight…rain chance 60-70%.
Then, by late evening… showers taper-off. Clouds will hold on overnight, but looks like more sunshine (and drier conditions) are in the forecast for Tuesday.
So, generally, expect a wet late afternoon and evening / expect less than 1″ of rain/ expect storms but most should stay below severe limits.
The front won’t just bring us showers, but it’ll also briefly cool down our temps. Today, expect temps near 80 degrees with low-mid 60s by Tuesday as the winds shift to the NE tomorrow. Then, the winds switch back to the SE by Wednesday…warming temps back into the 70s with 80s returning Thursday.
Enjoy the day, and make sure you have a WAVY WEATHER APP http://wavy.com/2014/05/17/wavy-weather-app/ and track the showers/storms as they develop.
