Elizabeth City seeing water leaks, ‘extreme useage’ following winter storm

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — Officials in Elizabeth City say there has been “extreme water usage” due to broken water lines caused by last week’s winter storm.

Officials say there are broken lines in commercial, and industrial facilities. Residents are being asked to minimize water use for the next 48 hours.
