Three displaced after townhouse fire in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Firefighters responded to a townhouse fire in the 100 block of Tower Drive, Saturday evening.

According to dispatch the emergency call came in at 5:05 p.m. The fire was under control at 5:34 p.m., says a fire official.

Officials say that three adults are being assisted by the Red Cross.

Three townhouses were heavily affected and two suffered fire damage.

Officials say the fire was likely caused by carelessly discarded smoking materials.
