Victim in Hampton shooting expected to be OK

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police say they are looking for a suspect after a  man was shot Friday evening near the intersection of Andrews Boulevard and Hale Drive.

Police say emergency crews were called to the intersection at 5:21 p.m. on June 30. Officers located a 31-year-old man suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was a passenger in a vehicle traveling near Andrews Boulevard when an unknown suspect began firing towards the vehicle. The victim was struck one time and was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
