Man charged in Suffolk Columbus Ave. shooting

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man is facing charges for allegedly shooting and injuring another man Thursday night in Suffolk.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Columbus Avenue at 8:36 p.m. The victim was airlifted to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Trenco Maurice Chapman, 28, has been charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He currently being held at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
