Shooting victim drives vehicle into Hampton home, dies at the scene

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A man was shot and killed Monday in Hampton.

At 6:37 p.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Derosa Drive for a report of shots fired. While on the way to the scene, the call was upgraded to a shooting. Police got to the scene and found a man in a vehicle that had run off the road and hit a home.

Authorities say the victim had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was identified Tuesday as 25-year-old Johnathan Matthew Bradley.

Police believe the victim was in a vehicle parked on Derosa Drive when another vehicle pulled up next to him and someone inside began shooting.

This is the City of Hampton’s sixth homicide of 2017.
