Driver of vehicle charged in school bus crash in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A school bus was involved in a crash Friday morning with another vehicle in Chesapeake, police say.

Police spokeswoman Kelly Elliot tells WAVY.com there were no students on board and no injuries reported.

The crash was reported to dispatch just after 8 a.m. at Bruce Road and Peppercorn Drive.

A passenger in a car passing the scene captured video of emergency crews working the crash Friday morning.

Elliot says the driver of the vehicle involved pulled out in front of the bus. The driver has been charged with failure to yield right of way.
