Man killed in Hampton triple shooting identified

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — One person is dead and two are hurt following a triple shooting Wednesday night in Hampton.

Officers responded to an area on Glendale Road just after 10:30 p.m. and found three men lying in the front yard of a home with gunshot wounds.

One of the men, 50-year-old Anthony E. Bell, died at the scene, police say.

The other two — a 38-year-old Newport News man and a 41-year-old Hampton man — were taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police say they do not have any information on a possible suspect or suspects.
