Portsmouth man found guilty of rape, abduction and sodomy

PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — A Portsmouth man was found guilty of rape, abduction and sodomy on Wednesday.

Dreon Scott was found guilty of rape by force, abduction, and sodomy.

Scott’s charges stem from an incident that happened May 8, 2016, in the 1100 block of Mount Vernon Avenue, according to police.

Scott has a sentencing hearing set for July 17.
