NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A teenager was taken to the hospital Sunday afternoon after being shot on Tidewater Drive in Norfolk.
Police say the shooting, which happened near Princess Anne Road, was reported around 2:45 p.m. Responding officers found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.
The boy told officers he was walking on Tidewater Drive when he heard gunfire, and realized he had been shot. Police say he was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
