Lightning sparks house fire in Currituck County

CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A lightning strike caused a Currituck County home to go up in flames Wednesday night.

Firefighters were called to the 100 block of Olathe Street at 9:49 p.m. for a three-alarm house fire.

The residents made it out of the home OK and were not hurt, but the family of five lost everything.
