BLACKSBURG (WAVY) – Chris Clarke, a graduate of Cape Henry Collegiate School in Virginia Beach, booked 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in Virginia Tech’s 113-71 win over the Citadel on Saturday afternoon.
According to the school’s athletics website, it is believed to be the first triple-double in school history.
“It’s definitely cool,” Clarke told HokieSports.com. “I love to pass the ball more than I love to score, so just them getting me going with me getting a couple of assists … that gets me going emotionally.”
The Hokies (9-1) had seven players score in double-figures, led by Ahmed Hill’s 22 points. Tech is now on a five-game win streak, is still unbeaten at home, and will face Charleston Southern on Tuesday.
