Virginia Beach gang member sentenced in sex trafficking case

Keiawn Demarco McDonald

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Keiawn Demarco McDonald, 24, of Virginia Beach, was sentenced Thursday to 188 months in prison for sex trafficking a child.

Court documents say that in the fall of 2015, 23-year-old Keiawn Demarco McDonald recruited a juvenile girl to engage in prostitution at several hotels in Norfolk, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. McDonald took pictures of the victim, posted online advertisements for her services and arranged prostitution appointments for her. Prosecutors say he also told her how to conduct the appointments with customers and monitored her by text messages during appointments.
