4 Windsor men charged in Greenville armed robbery

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) – Four Windsor men have been arrested and charged in an armed robbery after Greenville police officers said they recognized the suspects and their vehicle by the Pops Burgers on Charles Boulevard in Greenville Tuesday.

The robbery took place in Greenville Monday night, and the Greenville Police Department said the victim was robbed of his phone and several other items.

On Tuesday, one officer noticed the vehicle matching the description of the suspects’ car in the Pops Burgers parking lot and confirmed it matched the license plate number provided by witnesses.

Another officer identified three males who matched the description of the suspects on 11th Street near Charles Boulevard.

Officers said the suspects on Charles Boulevard ran away, as did a fourth suspect who ran from near the car.

However, all four were arrested without incident, officers said.

Officers said they located three firearms, one of which was stolen, during the arrests.

Nykel Watson, Shyki Mitchell and Daquan Outlaw, all of Windsor, were charged in the armed robbery and are each being held in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Shawn Cherry was also charged in the armed robbery and faces additional charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm by a minor and possession of a stolen firearm.
