Two juveniles caught after police pursuit in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Two male juveniles were caught following a police pursuit Thursday night in Chesapeake.

Around 4:54 p.m., an officer tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 block of Fisher Avenue. It appeared the vehicle had been stolen, police say. A short pursuit began when the driver refused to pull over. It ended at Providence Road and Military Highway, where the driver and a passenger jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Police set up a perimeter in the area and searched for them.

Eventually, officers managed to catch the driver and passenger, who are both male juveniles, according to police.

No one was hurt.

It’s not clear if anyone else was in the vehicle.
