CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — A man was arrested for allegedly manufacturing meth in Currituck County.
On Thursday, the Currituck County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) served a search warrant in the 100 block of Rattle Ridge Lane.
The warrant was obtained after investigating tips and complaints at the address on Rattle Ridge.
Authorities found materials used to manufacture meth and a functioning meth lab in the home when they served the search warrant. The meth lab was removed from the home by authorities.
45-year-old John Edward Muth, Jr. is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a dwelling place for sale of a controlled substance and possession of meth precursors.
Muth is currently in custody at the Currituck County Detention Center. He has a secure bond set at $250,000.
