NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police are looking for a man they say robbed a credit union in Newport News Thursday.
Around 5 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Bayport at 8000 Marshall Avenue. Police say a man entered the bank, approached the tellers, showed a gun and demanded money. The suspect was given cash, and then ran away.
Police described him as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing dark pants, a dark blue sweatshirt with a hood. His face was partially covered.
10 On Your Side obtained surveillance photos from police, showing the suspect with a gun drawn at a teller.
