NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The scene was cleared Wednesday at Norview Middle School after law enforcement investigated a bomb threat.
Police officials alerted the public to the threat in a tweet Wednesday morning. Details surrounding the reported threat were not immediately clear.
Police and fire and rescue crews responded to the middle school to investigate the threat.
A police spokesman Daniel Hudson tells WAVY.com the school was locked down with no students inside.
In tweet at 8:35 a.m., police said nothing was found in the search, and students were returning to school.
