VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – The Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office launched the “Stuff-A-Cruiser” food bank drive to help eliminate hunger this Christmas season and help the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
According to organizers, Farm Fresh received over 2,000 pounds of food donations. The event took place at the Farm Fresh shopping center, located in the 2100 block of N. Great Neck Road. Delegate Jason Miyares was in attendance.
Those who attended received a “shopping list” of items in demand at the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.
The goal is to “stuff-a-cruiser” full of food for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
“With so many families in need, the holidays are the perfect opportunity for the General Assembly and the Virginia Beach Sheriffs Office to work together to help our constituents put healthy meals on the table for their families,” said Sheriff Ken Stolle. “We hope you will join us in supporting the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore so that no one in our community has to go hungry this holiday season.”
