Norfolk man charged with murder in deadly July shooting

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk man was arrested in connection to a July homicide.

Forty-six-year-old Addison J. Shearin was found dead on July 18 in the 3500 block of Granby Street, near the Virginia Zoological Park. He had been shot, police say.

During their investigation, detectives identified 40-year-old Terrence M. Booth as a suspect. He was eventually charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Booth was arrested without incident on Nov. 30.  He is being held without bond at the Norfolk City Jail.
