Aldi opening first Va. Beach location Dec. 15

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Aldi is preparing to open its first grocery store in Virginia Beach later this month.

The company is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony Dec. 15 at the new store, which was built at 1436 Kempsville Road.

The first 100 shoppers to the store will get a golden ticket, which the company says contain Aldi gift cards of varying amounts.

Aldi says the Virginia Beach location will present a “new look” and present a “modern and convenient shopping environment” for customers.

The Virginia Beach store will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Aldi, the ribbon cutting is scheduled for Dec. 15 at 8:45 a.m.
