Unemployment rates rise in most NC counties in October

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCT) – Forty-four North Carolina counties saw a rise in unemployment rates in October.

This is 6 times more than the amount of counties which saw an increase in October of last year.

Only 22 counties saw unemployment rates decrease last month.

In our area, 13 counties saw unemployment rates increase. Bertie and Onslow counties were the only counties that remained the same from September 2016 to October 2016.

The highest unemployment rate was found in Robeson County at 10.3 percent, while the lowest was 3.6 percent in Buncombe County. For more details, click here.
