Simms scores 35 points in Lady Monarchs 82-56 win over Dartmouth

NORFOLK (WAVY) — Jennie Simms poured in a season-high 35 points in the Old Dominion Lady Monarchs 82-56 victory over Dartmouth on Wednesday morning at the Ted Constant Center.

Simms also added 10 rebounds and five assists while Destinee Young recorded her fourth double-double in five games with 10 points and 13 boards.

The game drew a capacity crowd of 8,563 fans for the sixth annual Education Day.

A total of 7,813 students from 33 different Norfolk Public Schools were in attendance for the annual tradition. It was the third consecutive sellout for Education Day.
