Rod Aldoff relieved as head coach of Norfolk Admirals

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk Admirals have relieved head coach Rod Aldoff five months after introducing him in June.

The team said in a news release Tuesday that Robbie Ftorek will take over as head coach. Admirals President Michael Santos issued the following statement Monday morning:

“The Admirals appreciate Rod’s contributions to the organization and are committed to assisting him and his family with this transition. We look forward to Robbie joining the staff as the team’s new head coach.”

The Admirals are currently last in the ECHL South with a 2-11-4 record.
