Virginia Beach police arrest suspects in Travelodge armed robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Police have arrested two suspects in an armed robbery at the Travelodge Virginia Beach on Atlantic Avenue Thursday night.

Dispatchers received a call at 8:04 p.m. about the robbery. Police say two male suspects entered the business. One of the men had a weapon. The suspects took money from the front desk clerk and ran away. No one was hurt.

Police said 32-year-old Reginald Cooper Green has been charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, wearing a mask in public and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

29-year-old Michael Antonio Johnson was also charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, wearing a mask in public and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Both men are currently homeless, according to police. They are being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
