Two suspects wanted in deadly Newport News shooting

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) – Police are looking for two suspects involved in a deadly shooting that happened in the 500 block of Randolph Road, Friday evening.

According to police, the emergency call came in at 11:11 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they found 42-year-old Tommy Strayhorn suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday afternoon.

Police say one suspect is described as a light-skinned black man in his late 20’s to early 30’s, around 6’ feet tall, 180 pounds, and was wearing a gray skull-cap. The second suspect is described as a dark-skinned black man in his late 20’s to early 30’s, around 5’7” feet tall, 160 pounds with either dreadlocks or braids, wearing a red/black hat.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a silver minivan.
