CHAPEL HILL (WAVY)- Virginia Tech clinched the Coastal Division championship without playing a game on Friday afternoon. Thanks to North Carolina’s 28-21 home loss to NC State on Friday, the Hokies (8-3, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) will head to Orlando to face Clemson in next weekend’s ACC Championship game.

What this also means is Saturday’s afternoon matchup against in-state rival Virginia is nothing more than a battle for bragging rights. Virginia Tech has won 12 straight over the Cavaliers (2-9, 1-6), who head to Blacksburg riding a six-game losing streak and haven’t beaten the Hokies since 2003.

Kickoff on Saturday is set for noon.
