Former Gov. McDonnell at annual turkey trot benefit run

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell participated in the sixth annual Charlie Normile’s Turkey Trot Race for the Fallen on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016.

According to the event’s website, Charlie Normile’s Turkey Trot Race is held every year in Sandbridge to benefit The Navy SEAL Foundation and the Noblemen of Virginia Beach.

Event organizers sent photos to 10 On Your Side Thursday of McDonnell at the event. Charlie Normile’s Turkey Trot Race consists of a 5K race, a 1-mile fun run and a 26.2-meter gobble wobble.
