CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A family of four was displaced Wednesday after a fire caused smoke damage to their home in Chesapeake.
Fire officials tweeted Wednesday morning that smoke was showing from the home when crews arrived at 7:55 a.m. Crews were called to the area at 7:50 a.m.
Officials say the fire was contained to a single bedroom of the house, but there was smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.
Capt. Jerry Turner with the Chesapeake Fire Department says two adults and tow children were displaced.
The fire was under control less than 30 minutes after crews arrived. No one was hurt.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
