Hampton police charge 14-year-old in Wood’s Orchard burglary

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Police have charged a 14-year-old Hampton boy in connection to two burglaries at Wood’s Orchard.

Between 4 p.m. September 24 and 9:25 p.m. September 25, someone entered Wood’s Orchard, located in the 100 block of East Mercury Boulevard, while it was closed and ransacked the store office. Police say the suspects stole two guns, two tablets and a laptop computer.

Orchard burglarized for third time, tractors taken for joyride

Someone again entered the closed business and trashed the store office between 5 p.m. on September 26 and 8 a.m. on September 27. That time, the suspects took various food items.

Officers investigated and as a result, charged the 14-year-old with one count of burglary and one count of grand larceny.

Police are looking for another male juvenile suspect who is wanted on charges of burglary and grand larceny.
