Suspects sought in Newport News shooting that seriously injured man

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Police are looking to identify a suspect or suspects in a shooting Saturday that left a man seriously injured.

At 6:30 p.m., dispatchers received a call about a shooting that had just happened outside the Bronx Deli, a neighborhood convenience store, located in the 2400 block of Oak Avenue.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 32-year-old Newport News man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries.

Police have not released any suspect information. They are still investigating.
