CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) — The Currituck County Board of Commissioners held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for phase two of construction on the athletic complex at Community Park in Barco Monday.

The athletic complex is located beside the YMCA building.

Phase two includes three baseball/softball fields, a concession stand and press box building, a skate park, picnic pavilions, a paved walking path and an alpine climbing tower.

The park already has soccer fields, football fields, a tot-lot playground and an adaptive playground.
