FEMA opening disaster recovery center in Suffolk

SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — FEMA is opening a disaster recovery center on Monday to help residents and businesses impacted by Hurricane Matthew register for federal aid.

Hampton, Portsmouth and Suffolk approved for FEMA Disaster Aid

The center will be open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will operate out of the East Suffolk Recreation Center, located at 138 S. 6th Street.

At a disaster recovery center, staff can check on your individual case, answer questions about claims or review information needed to process claims.
