School bus involved in accident in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A school bus was involved in an accident with another vehicle in Chesapeake Tuesday afternoon.

Dispatchers received a call about the accident at 3:13 p.m. The crash happened on Taylor Road and Greendell Road.

Police say 13 students were on board at the time of the accident. The bus was coming from Western Branch Primary School.

No injuries have been reported.

School officials say they will notify parents of students who were on the bus. A second school bus is taking the students home.

This was the first of three school bus accidents in Hampton Roads Tuesday.

In Virginia Beach, a school bus and another vehicle got into an accident Tuesday. Only the driver was on board and no one was hurt.

A third school bus crash happened in Hampton. Injuries were initially reported, but no one was taken to the hospital.
