Two men killed in Hampton shooting

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Two men are dead after a shooting in Hampton Friday night.

27-year-old Rasheem Depri Saunders was pronounced dead at the scene.  23-year-old Daquan Desimond Berkeley was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Dispatchers received a call at 7:36 p.m. for a shooting in the first block of Glascow Way. When officers arrived on scene, they found two men inside a parked vehicle in a parking lot of town homes. Both of the men were unresponsive and had multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene. The second victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police believe the men were shot at an unknown location before driving to Glascow Way.

One man on the scene around the time of the shooting said he heard five shots go off.

Police have not released any information about a suspect, motive or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

On Tuesday, a 60-year-old cancer survivor and veteran was shot and killed at the Colonial Landing Apartments. Three people were shot early Thursday morning on Kensington Drive. Those victims are expected to recover.
