VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Wild horses have roamed the coasts of Virginia Beach and North Carolina since the early 1500s. The Virginia Wild Horse Rescue works to preserve the remaining herd and to educate the public about their importance.
Gene and Donna Snow have been running the rescue in Virginia Beach since 2006. The Snows have dedicated themselves to these horses. The work is hard and the days are long. It is clear the missions of preservation and education for these wild Mustangs are their calling.
