Chesapeake 7-Eleven robbed at gunpoint overnight

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – Chesapeake police are looking for whoever robbed a 7-Eleven overnight.

It happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday at the store on Western Branch Boulevard and Taylor Road in the Churchland area of the city.  

Police say a man with a black hoodie and black scarf covering his face barged into the store with a long gun and demanded money from the clerk.

Police say the clerk put about $200 in a bag and handed it over to the armed suspect. No one was hurt. The suspect walked out of the store.

Detectives say they canvassed the area and could not find him. If you know anything, call the Crime Line.
