Hampton woman charged with abduction, assault in June incident

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A Hampton woman was arrested and is facing several charges in connection to an alleged incident over the summer.

At 1:55 p.m. on June 27, officers were called to the first block of Ireland Street for a trespassing complaint. Police investigation revealed that the victim, a 19-year-old woman, was at her home when she heard a knock at the door. The suspect forced entry into the home and is accused of physically assaulting the victim.

28-year-old Takisha Melissa McClinton was arrested in connection to the incident. She’s been charged with one count each of abduction, breaking and entering, assault and battery, destruction of property, and conspiracy to commit a felony.
