HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Personnel with the 1st Fighter Wing will be conducting operational flight exercises at Langley Air Force Base over the next several days.

Officials say the exercises will test the fighter wing’s ability to conduct combat flying operations across missions and scenarios. Personnel from the Virginia Air National Guard’s 192nd Fighter Wing are also taking part in the exercises.

Officials say there will be round-the-clock flying operations and more airfield activity outside of normal operating hours. Traffic going into and out of Langley may experience slight delays.

The exercises are scheduled to last through Saturday, Nov. 19.
