ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS 10) – New York State Police say multiple police agencies and air support are on scene at Crossgates Mall currently sweeping inside the mall and evacuating everyone after reports of shots fired Saturday afternoon.

Guilderland Police Chief Carol Lawlor says no one is in custody yet but are looking for one suspect, unclear if in the mall or not.

Several stores and employees are still on lockdown inside of the mall as they wait patiently for police teams to evacuate them out safely.

Guilderland Police are the lead investigators in this case and say that the scene is still active and the mall is on complete lockdown until further notice.

Police say they responded after witnesses heard shots fired near the Apple store and other stores.

Guilderland Police Chief confirms that two suspects have been detained earlier but were not involved in shooting and have been released.

More swat and tactical teams are reported to have been sent to the mall for extra support, and are currently working with mall security going store to store.

There are CDTA buses that are giving workers a place to stay warm and police are saying that people are being transported to Ted’s Fish Fry if you may be looking for someone.

No reports on any injuries.
