Man dies after being hit by car in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A man died Friday after being hit by a vehicle in Virginia Beach.

Dispatchers received a call about the accident at 3:01 p.m. It happened in the 4100 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital. He later died from his injuries, and was identified as 75-year-old Jack Lehman, of Virginia Beach.

Police said Monday that no charges were being filed against the driver.

The westbound lanes of Virginia Beach Boulevard at Kentucky Avenue were closed Friday for three hours as police investigated the scene. The lanes are now back open.
