Pets rescued from Norfolk house fire

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Fire crews rescued pets from a house fire in Norfolk Wednesday.

Crews responded to the fire in the 1700 block of Claremont Avenue around 11:43 a.m. Firefighters arrived on scene at 11:47 a.m. to find smoke coming form the attic window of the two-story home.

During a search of the home, crews found several pets. A dog was removed from the home and returned to the owner.

The fire was extinguished around 12:05 p.m.
