Third suspect sentenced in Accomack stolen dog case

ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — The third suspect accused in case of dog being stolen out of Accomack County is facing 10 days in jail

Charlene Boyajian was sentenced to 90 days total, but had all but 10 days suspended. Boyajian was one of three people charged in the January 2015 case of a dog being stolen on the Eastern Shore.

Bettina Rodriguez and Gordon Shell, the two others accused in this case, were sentenced in May to 90 days, and had all but five days suspended.

Both Rodriguez and Shell entered a plea agreement — which lessened a larceny of a dog charge from a felony to a misdemeanor.

Boyajian was found guilty of petite larceny in August.

She is also has to pay a $1,000 fine as a part of the sentencing.
