Police: Driver caught following chase from Chesapeake to Norfolk

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake police say a person was caught Tuesday following a chase that ended in Norfolk when their car crashed into a parked car.

Police spokesperson Kelly Elliot tells WAVY.com an officer initiated a traffic stop on 22nd Street, in the South Norfolk area, around 11:25 a.m.

However, the driver fled into Norfolk where they crashed into a parked car S. Cape Henry Avenue. Police say they tried to run, but was caught.

Police have said who the driver is, how old they are or what charges they might be facing.
