Va. Beach amphitheater hosting donation ‘drive-thru’ for Matthew victims

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater is holding a donations drive-thru Thursday for residents looking to recover from Hurricane Matthew.

Those looking to help victims affected by Matthew can drop off several items at the amphitheater, including:

  • Shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, baby shampoo/wash, lotions, etc.
  • New socks for all ages – infants to seniors
  • New underwear for all ages – infants to seniors
  • Paper towels, paper plates, plastic utensils, napkins, toilet paper, etc.

Donations will be sent to the Salvation Army, and then distributed to affected families on Saturday.

The drive is being held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. Anyone seeking to donate is being asked to enter at Dam Neck Road.
