Governor offers reward for information about 2005 Elizabeth City murder

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WAVY) — Governor Pat McCrory is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects responsible for an Elizabeth City murder that happened 11 years ago.

McCrory’s office announced the reward on Friday.

On June 28, 2005, police found 26-year-old Gerric Adrian Rountree lying on the kitchen floor of his home on Hull Drive with a gunshot wound. The house had been ransacked.
