HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (WAVY) – The following is Elizabeth River Tunnels weekly schedule for tunnel/lane closures that may affect regular traffic in Hampton Roads. Due to the nature of construction, closure dates are subject to change. Visit the Travel Impacts page for current information.

Downtown Tunnel

  • I-264 West: Downtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure extending to Elm Avenue Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 7-9 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning. Exit ramps along this closure will remain open.

Midtown Tunnel

  • U.S. 58 East: Full weekend tunnel closure from Friday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. through Monday, Nov. 7 at 5 a.m.
  • U.S. 58 East: Midtown Tunnel open with a single lane closure Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 7-9 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.

MLK Freeway

  • I-264 East: Lane closures between Victory Boulevard and Effingham Street Sunday through Tuesday, Nov. 6-8 from 8 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • London Boulevard East/ U.S. 58: Full ramp closure Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Frederick Boulevard North/I-264 East: Full ramp closure Sunday, Nov. 6 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Portsmouth Boulevard/I-264 East: Full ramp closure Monday, Nov. 7 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • I-264 East/Portsmouth Boulevard: Full ramp closure Monday, Nov. 7 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • I-264 East/Frederick Boulevard: Full ramp closure Monday, Nov. 7 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
  • Victory Boulevard/I-264 East: Full ramp closure Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning.
