Sheriff’s office: Man in box truck hits gas pump in Yorktown, drives away

YORKTOWN, Va. (WAVY) — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify a man they say hit a gas pump with his vehicle and left the scene.

It happened at the Speedway gas station, located at 1724 George Washington Memorial Highway.

The sheriff’s office described the man as a white male, between 5 and 6 feet tall, wearing a dark blue work uniform shirt and eye glasses. He has a goatee and was seen driving an unmarked, white box truck. Witnesses did not get tag numbers or a company name from the truck.
