Juvenile charged in Home Depot auto-pedestrian accident

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A teenager has been charged in an accident that sent a man to the hospital last Tuesday.

On October 24, a man was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Home Depot at 3352 Virginia Beach Boulevard.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The victim’s family says he lost a leg. He is expected to survive.

Police said that the driver, a juvenile, lost control of the vehicle and hit four other cars, then the victim. The driver was charged with reckless driving in a parking lot.
